Lara Stone

I have a girl-crush on Lara Stone. Vogue France dedicated an entire issue to her, interpreting her looks in photography, painting, trompe l'oeil...amazing

Anyway, apparently she's couture fashion week's top model

But who doesn't love Sasha Pivovrova's alien-feline ferocity? Or Siri Tollerod(above)'s delicate, delectable bone structure? (maybe the only reason we can see it is because she doesn't eat...but let's not go down the eastern-european/russian anorexia fiasco of runways these days...)

Public Enemies--The Dark Knight of 2009?

looking good

I'm SO excited for "Public Enemies" to come out on July 1. Perfect summer blockbuster: 3 big stars, lots of gun violence and escapism (The Dark Knight, anyone?)

Anyway, I'm hoping it's like a nouveau-Bonnie & Clyde, allowing the spectator to indulge in the crimes Depp commits as Dillinger. We almost root for the bad guy, but in the end know that crime can't succeed.

Instead of playing into the art cinema tendencies of the late 60's, I'll bet that "Public Enemies" caters to "The Dark Knight" audience because filmmakers are playing it safe--but let's hope that the addition of Marion Cotillard gives the film more backbone than Maggie Gyllenhaal ever did in DK. Oh, and Christian Bale's southern accent better not be as painful as his Batman voice was. I think I'm one of the few people who didn't like DK...the only saving grace for that film was Heath Ledger--everyone can agree that he had a great performance. There's no doubt that Depp will be just as good, or even better, than Ledger was.

Anyway, I'm hoping this film isn't just a bunch of shooting and actually has something important to say! Yay for summer movies!

Lust, Caution, Wang

Want to watch this movie ASAP - Wang Lee Hom, Ang Lee, Tang Wei pictured Dec 8, 2007

um...

He reminds me of a Chinese-American Ashton Kutcher, but a million times more talented and significant - he's sold over 15 million records, is very passionate about the environment, and has hugely changed Chinese music. Ashton also does Nikon ads and used to be a model. I don't think Wang Lee Hom was, but clearly he has it in him.

Wow look at that hair... Jared, your mom needs to give you this haircut.

Booky Wook

I have a huge crush on Russell Brand. Also, he's a huge ladies' man.
