Turks & Caicos: J. Crew Style

I haven't shopped online in a long time, especially on the J. Crew site. But their new Paradise campaign is really pretty. Check it out here.

I love these items:

There are so many more pretty pics on the website! Check 'em out. I'd also like to pair these dresses with tank tops or t-shirts underneath (which I discovered J.Crew also instructs its shoppers to do...)

Crossing the Street in Hanoi

I'm also traveling to Vietnam by way of Singapore right after graduation (it makes the prospect of leaving Hanover a tiny less terrifying), so I've been doing some internet research, and I found this gem... crossing in Hanoi is even worse (much, much worse) than crossing the street in Beijing. So much so that this blogger wrote an entire article on how to do so.

"The trick is to remember that the traffic flows like water and so will move around you, provided you don’t make any sudden moves. (That includes panicking)."

(A)typical Chinese tourist(s)

I love this photo from a NYT slideshow about Hainan, an island that I'm traveling to this summer. It's called the "Hawaii of China" I'm so excited!

"Look around and you'll encounter weekend warriors from Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou, all seeking to escape the crush of big-city life for a stretch of beach."
Photo: Christie Johnston for The New York Times

Haha an all-Hawaiian t-shirt print outfit with pink Crocs and an umbrella to shade from the sun... and the grandma taking a photo of the photographer! I love it.

White River Junction Featured in NYTimes!

Shout-out to the Still North in the Times Travel section this week. I almost went to the fashion show at Revolution last spring--this time I'll make a point of going! Looks like a fun place.

I also took a class this summer with Jules Feiffer about the history of cartooning that was absolutely amazing. His teaching assistant/intern, Katherine Roy, was associated with the Center for Cartoon Studies in WRJ. I definitely want to check out the other side of the river this winter!
