SEA

Went to SEA in the East Village for some Thai food at my dining companion's suggestion. I've passed it a bunch of times before because it's in a very central location in the LES, but never eaten there.

Verdict: The curry was properly spicy (+), the food was well seasoned (+), and dishes were surprisingly large (+) but accompanied by small portions of rice (-) ... but then again, I really like rice. Good ambiance comprised of modern decor and near-perfect restaurant lighting (+), service was average to good, average drinks list (as far as I could tell) and prices were reasonable (+). It would be fun to bring friends to eat here.

Overall = positive review. 
I'll be conservative and say 3.5/5 since this is my first review.

Kandinsky at Guggenheim

If you like that painting in the banner, you can see an entire exhibition of Kandinsky's work at the Guggenheim in NYC [1071 5th Avenue (at 89th Street) on the Upper East Side] from now until January 13, 2010. I'm definitely going to make a point of visiting.

And everything else in between running around the city! What a perfect music lineup, couldn't be luckier. This summer has been just serendipitous in terms of music. It's all... how you say.... surreal.

WWP

Walking from Penn Station to work, I came upon this event gearing up and snapped some photos via phone.

The Soldier Ride, at its core, is a rehabilitative cycling event designed to challenge our wounded warriors to get back in the saddle, both literally and figuratively, and is a tool to help both the physical and mental wounds of war. These rides also help to raise awareness for the WWP mission and our many important programs designed to serve our injured and their families, and in turn raise money through sponsorships, pledges and donations for WWP.

I def don't have time to do everything but I figure I'll at least go to all the shows on Fridays at 6 PM ... can't believe I missed Kid Cudi and Chester French ughhhh but Chester French is playing SummerStage in Central Park next month anywayyyy so no worries.
