Just wanted to welcome you to my new blog. The name comes from the poem, "L'invitation au voyage" by Charles Baudelaire, a 19th century poet whom I've had to study a ton in my French classes and have somewhat taken a liking to, despite his ivresse. He represents a time in France when modernity and beauty were questioned, so now I want to observe how we today thrive socially. I also plan on posting some thoughts on modern times in general.
